The Pupil Premium is allocated to children who are known to be eligible for Free School Meals (FSM), who were eligible for FSM at any point in the last six years (known as the Ever 6 FSM measure), service children (SC) and children who have been looked after continuously for more than six months (LAC) or children who were previously looked after (PLAC).
Schools are required to publish details of their Pupil Premium allocation, how they plan to spend the allocation in the current year, how the previous year's allocation was spent and the effect of the expenditure on the attainment of those pupils for whom the funding was allocated.
It is for individual schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent. At Nansledan School we will be using our pupil premium funding primarily to support narrowing the gap for disadvantaged pupils and supporting them in making better than expected progress in comparison to their peers. We have utilised strategies that we believe will have the most impact on the achievement and outcome of our Pupil Premium pupils.
